You guys may or may not know that I’m a graphic designer. Which means I’m one of those nerdy people who has a fascination with typography, logos and all things printed. I spent way too much free time looking at invitations, envelope designs and other printed materials. I obsess over things like paper textures, the kerning of text and the type of font. And you know what? Wedding invitations are my absolute favorite.
Who here has heard of Minted? It’s a stationary / art website that features Independent Artist from all around the World. They’ve got a huge collection of customizable wedding stationary and event invitations. They’ve also got a wide variety of art prints available for purchase.
My favorite aspect of the site is easily the wedding collections. There are so many gorgeous designs to choose from and you can customize everything. They do traditional printed invitations, foil-pressed, letter-pressed and mini-book invitations. Don’t know what kind you want? You can order free samples to determine what SUITS your tastes the best. My personal favorites are the foil-pressed and mini-book invites. They will also send you a sample kit of their different papers and fonts to help with your decision process. You can even choose the shape of your invitations.
Still can’t find anything you like? You can work with a designer to create something completely custom.
The layout of the site is incredibly easy to navigate. You can browse through invitations, place cards, save-the-dates or a number of other categories until you find a design you like. Minted then shows you the rest of their products in that collection. Another aspect of the site that I LOVE is the free envelope, table number and place card printing. I don’t know about you, but I am horrible at addressing envelopes. I always pin these beautifully addressed cards that I want to duplicate, but it never happens. My ink smudges, I misspell something, it’s crooked or it’s just flat out ugly. Well fear not folks. Minted will print out your envelopes for free. Isn’t that fantastic?
I’m honestly in love with this site. I think it’s amazing that you can get a customized look without any hassle. You don’t have to address the envelopes, you don’t have to print the table numbers – Minted takes care of it all.
Anyways, enough of my babbling. Minted has been kind enough to offer one of my lucky readers a $100 credit towards a Minted purchase (remember they also have event invites, holiday cards, art prints & more!)
In case you need any inspiration, I’ve picked out some of my favorite wedding sets. You know, for my fictional wedding.
