A Burgeoning Obsession with Vinyl

A Burgeoning Obsession with Vinyl

empire records 21
It finally happened. I now have a record player in my possession. Ivan got it for my birthday (we’re super impatient and exchanged gifts over a month early) and I cannot be more delighted. I’m already harboring an obsession with collecting records.

I went through a similar phase with my books and now I’m ready to move on to records. I love pursuing the dusty shelves at thrift stores and records store and cannot wait to hunt down some new beauties when we move to DC.

So far I’ve purchased the following records – Fleetwood Mac’s Rumors, Fleetwood Mac’s Greatest Hits, The Eagles Greatest Hits, Lorde’s Pure Heroine, Lana Del Rey’s Born to Die, Elle King’s Love Stuff, Steve Miller Band’s Book of Dreams, Johnny Cash’s Greatest Hits and Simon and Garfunkel’s Greatest Hits.

Had some new #vinyl waiting for me after work today :) #records #vinylcollection #lorde #elleking #music

I’m on the lookout for some Sam Cooke, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Etta James & something from the Beatles.

My question for you guys is, what do you recommend? What are your favorite / must have records? Let me know below!
