Detroit, AC/DC & The Trying to Figure out the Selfie Stick

So last night my family and I headed down to Detroit for an AC/DC concert at Ford Field. My dad has always been a huge fan and my mom got us all tickets for fathers day. My sister and I grew up listening to them so we were all rather excited. My dad has seen them live before (in 1983!), but it was a first for my myself and everyone else.

IMG_0837Because it was such a special occasion and there were 5 of us, I decided that I should get a selfie stick to properly document the night. They were only $5 at 5 Below and it made for some interesting pictures.

Most of our troubles arose when I felt it was necessary to turn the camera around. You see, the front camera cannot use a flash and the quality is terrible in the dark. But.. when you turn it around, you can’t see what you are taking a picture of. This created some issues.

It was a lot of fun though. I knew most of the set list and was singing along for the majority of the evening. They played most of my favorites AND I got some sweet light up devil ears out of the deal. Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

My favorite part of the evening was probably when they played Thunderstruck. Every song was fantastic though. The whole crowd was just so in to it.

  • love the selfie stick photos – we have a few that are similar because we couldn’t see lol. i am not a huge fan of AC/DC (only Aussie in the world to say that…?) – glad you had a good time though!

    • it was a good time. Also.. I just saw that the new iphone will have a flash on the front facing camera. THANK GOD. Now our selfie sticks will be more useful in bad lighting ;)
