H54F: Burgers + Jogging = a Good Week

H54F: Burgers + Jogging = a Good Week

1. New ASICS Gear!
I told you last week that I had ordered some new running tights and leggings from amazon. Well they came in, and I LOVE them. I prefer to workout in leggings and tights, but most of the time I find that they have a problem with thin fabric. I’ve had good luck with ASICS in the past and so when I found 4 different pairs for so cheap, I ordered them all. I might even order some more. They are wonderful to run in and I only paid around $40 for ALL of them combined. You can check them out here.here.here & here.

2. Burgers + Cookies with my Lady Love
I don’t know if you are aware of this, but Max & Erma’s is the place to BE on Wednesday. My friend Jaquelline and I used to live down the street from each other… and right down the street from the local Max & Erma’s. They have this burger deal that is always available for $8.99 that includes a salad or soup, fries, a cheeseburger and a fresh made cookie. BUT on Wednesday they give you two MORE cookies with the purchase of an entree (I asked them to package the extras up so I wouldn’t eat them). This was our first time going there since we moved away from each other, but it was just as delicious as I remember it being. If you’ve got a Max & Erma’s near you – hit them up on a Wednesday :)

3. Run, Run, Runaway Baby
I’ve been busy prepping for my first 5k this weekend. I can now say with total confidence that I can run a 5k without dying. I ran a 5k on Sunday and then another one on Thursday. It’s getting easier every time.

Fastest 5k to date and I had the Tier Trail all to myself. Good run. #jogging #fitness #running #sweatpink #nikeplus

4. Orange is the New Black
I watched the first season of Orange when it first came out, but for some reason hadn’t watched the second or third season yet. Well, I started the second season I’ve been watching it all week. I’m obsessed with it. I don’t know why I waited so long.

5. Dog Obedience Classes
We finally decided to sign Kidd up for obedience classes. We got him on August 1st and he’s been awesome. But… he’s a bit of a spazz. He knows sit and stay and lay down… but isn’t so great with stay or, more importantly, walking on a leash. He is a pointer mix, so he’s full of energy. He snifs, he darts back and forth, and pulls me along on our walks. We take him to the dog park to get his energy out, but he really needs to learn how to walk nicely on a leash. It would be FANTASTIC to be able to run with him, but he runs WAY too fast for me. Hopefully we’ll be able to fix that soon!

  • Those running leggings look great!! And such a great price. And my mouth was totally watering when you talked about Max & Erma’s. I LOVE M&E! Their fries are so yummy, and any place that gives you a cookie is a win :) I wish there were some here in NC… but alas. Hope all goes well for your 5K! Run Run Run!! :)
