H54F: Last Couple Days in Michigan

H54F: Last Couple Days in Michigan

1. Killing it with Running
So, no big deal or anything… but I ran for 30 minutes the other day. Straight. NO stopping. That’s crazy for me. I’ve always hated running and to think that I’ve made it that far… I’m so proud of myself. I ran 2.7 miles, which is almost a 5k. I cannot wait to keep progressing and see how far I can push myself.

2. Etsy Shop in Order
I had to reformat my etsy shop for purely digital orders. We’re going to D.C. for the summer and I didn’t want to have to deal with finding a reliable printing company/shipping/everything else that goes along with it. So, I’ve redone my listing and gone back to all digital. That’s the way it all started out and it makes things much simpler.

3. 95% Packed
As I write this (on thursday morning) I’m 95% packed. I’ve got all my clothes packed and just have to get the odds and ends together. I don’t even want to tell you about how much I struggled deciding what to take. 3 months is a long time, but it’s just short enough that you can’t bring everything.

4. Cleanin’ Out the Closet With Ebay
All that packing got me into cleaning mode. I just sold a ton of old clothing on ebay and it got me thinking. I’m going to have a lot of free time on my hands this summer and I might try and launch another side project. I’m obsessed with thrifting, so I was thinking about selling thrift store finds on ebay while I’m in DC. They have a ton of great stores and I just love the hunt for good pieces. We’ll see.

5. Goodbye Dinner
Last night we went out to dinner with my family. It was a goodbye dinner with everyone before we leave for DC. It was fantastic to see everyone together plus it involved a “bloomin onion”. Gotta love Outback.

  • Have so much fun in DC this summer! It’s one of my favorite cities, there is so much to do and see, and the vibe is fantastic.

I’m also envious of your reading accomplishments — I’ve been majorly slacking as of late…

    • I’m so excited for DC! I’ve only been there once, so it will be pretty much a new experience for me. And as far as the reading goes.. I didn’t pick up a book for about 2 months. I finally decided I needed to crack down ;)

  • dang girl you are killin’ it with the work outs-good job! I know how packing like that is. It is difficult to know what to bring and what not to bring! Good luck and have a great weekend!

    • hahaha I am determined now! I used to hate running, but now I am going to get better at it if it kills me ;)

  • Good for you! I need to get back into it! Visiting from the linkup :)

  • Andrea Nine

Whoo hoo on the run! That’s about what I do and it works!! Gotta love a bloomin’ onion. Here’s hoping your weekend is amazing!!

  • Very impressive workout!

  • that is seriously awesome about the running! really, congrats.
every time i go to the thrift store, i lookout for things i might be able to sell. i definitely don’t do it as a full on side project because our thrift stores don’t have a lot, but if i make a little extra cash each time, it’s nice!

  • Stopping by from the link-up!

That is so cool you are moving to DC for the summer! I am about 40 minutes away and love taking day trips. It’s such a fun city. Also, good for you with running everyday! I need some of that endurance ;)

  • That’s quite the run! How exciting. It would be such fun thrifting in DC. There would be a really good assortment of stuff. Do it! And I assume the Iron Druid series is good, since you’re on book #5, but how is it? What have you thought? I love series! Have a great weekend and successful odds and ends packing.
