1. A Harness That Actually Works
My dog is a complete spaz. We adopted him in August when he was already 3(ish) years old. Unfortunately he was not leashed trained. We’ve attempted to do it, but so far, it just hasn’t been in the cards. He pulls horribly on the leash and we’ve tried numerous different harnesses. I purchased yet another one this week and although he still pulls, it’s the best one of the bunch. It’s the freedom no-pull harness and it keeps me from being absolutely dragged around. I think it could possibly work a bit better, I’m just afraid of making it too tight. I’ve been readjusting it a bit every time we go on a walk, trying to find the best fit without causing any chafing for on Kidd.
2. I Ordered My Camera
So I’ve been on the hunt for a new camera. I wanted something small and lightweight with point and shoot capabilities as well as “fancy camera’ abilities. I don’t know squat about photography, but I wanted something that I could learn on, yet still operate right away. After seeing the Samsung NX3000 on Kat’s blog yesterday, I decided it was the way to go. I had had my eye on a similar olympus, but after comparing the two, I decided that the samsung was a better all around fit for me. It’s arriving today and I am so excited to get my mits on it. I ordered it overnight from amazon. Got to love $4.99 overnight with prime.
3. New Layout
I did some rearranging on the blog and finally upgraded to a new template. I had been rocking the twenty-eleven theme for quite sometime and it was just pretty restricting. It just wasn’t programed to do some of the things I wanted layout-wise…and I wasn’t up to figuring out how to change the more difficult elements. I have basic web design knowledge from college (they made all the graphic designers learn), but I never enjoyed it and therefore didn’t absorb it all too well. I can do basic things and I can usually decipher what’s going on, but I can’t do anything too drastic. Therefore… I decided to go a new direction. I like it. It’s a much cleaner and sleeker design.
4. Quality time with the Nephew
I got to spend some one on one time with my nephew, Miles last weekend. He’s such a doll. I’m going to miss him when we move, so I’m trying to squeeze in as much time with him as possible now.
5. Brothers Green
I’m kind of obsessed with youtube cooking shows. I watch them in bed all the time. Well, I’ve finally stumbled onto one that Ivan will watch too. I’ve been watching the Brothers Green for a while, but he finally caught an episode with me the other day. I didn’t even know he was watching it, but he started commenting on it. We watched a few videos and he really seemed to dig it. Works for me. Now we don’t always have to watch ESPN.
