High Five for Friday is hosted by Lauren Elizabeth.
1. In the Words of Mick Fleetwood, “The Mac is back”… Fleetwood Mac Concert
On Wednesday night I went to a Fleetwood Mac concert at the Palace of Auburn Hills. I grew up on Fleetwood and never thought I’d get the chance to see them. My friend Jacquelline and I purchased the tickets in April and have been counting down the days until we could see the band in the flesh. This was first tour Christine McVie has gone on in 16 years and she was absolutely flawless. It was so epic.
As you can see, we were just a little excited for the evening
2. Nolla’s Birthday Party
Last Sunday I went to a 6 year old’s birthday party. Throughout college, I was a full-time nanny to the sweetest little girl on the planet. She started school about a year ago and I started my “big girl job” so I don’t see her nearly as much anymore. But Sunday was her party and we had a fantastic time. It was great to see her again.
3. My New Business Cards Came In
I ordered new cards from gotprint about a week ago. I wanted to somehow merge all my contact info into one card because I was carrying around 3. I got rounded corner ones and they turned out… alright. They were cheap, so I wasn’t expecting much, but they are slightly off center. Which bugs the designer in me to no end. But they’ll do.
4. I finally bought a new comforter
I’ve been rocking a down comforter on my bed for the longest time. Problem is, it JUST fits my bed. Ivan always rolls up in the blanket and I end up without any covers. I found this fluffy, cozy and LARGE replacement that is about twice the width. It’s fantastic and now I never want to get out of bed.
5. Midnight Madness / MSU U of M Game
This is kind of cheating, because it hasn’t happened yet. But tonight is Midnight Madness at State (a meet & greet with the basketball team / all around good time) and then tomorrow is the MSU/U of M game. That’s a big deal you guys. Instate rivalry at it’s best. Who’s pumped? GO GREEN.
