Okay I know. I'm the worst blogger ever, I haven't posted much of this month. It's been my kind of mini vacation, while still working. My mother and sister, and also my friend Lindsay have visited me from my hometown of DC this month, which left little time for fashion, and more time for catching up and gossiping like old church birds. That and I've been trying to hold onto summer by lazing about and watching Law and Order SVU on Netflix, which have every season on instant stream aka instant life ruiner. 

My friend Samantha and I did a day of nothing yesterday though, taking the puppies to the park, finding the play me I'm yours pianos, and eating taco bell at east fork lake. Sam graciously played photographer for me, even though she should defiantly be the model.

PS; etsy update.

So I think I'm getting used to having to dress "Like a grownup" for my office job. I'm sure it helps that there was lots of pretty and work appropriate stuff at the swap. I think half the stuff I ended up getting was in the purple color family, my boyfriend keeps calling me the joker, because it's all I seem to be wearing. What can I say, I love me some jewel tones of as recent. This skirt I picked up mainly because it was my size, and the color. It already had two things working against it though, detailing around my stomach area, and hips. The first I wish was a bit smaller, and my hips I wish were larger. I know, who the hell wants larger hips? ME. I want that hourglass figure like no one's business. But I tired it on anyways. Luckily I tried it on before I cast it aside. Although I needed to pick up a slip to make it look professional, I made the sacrifice and bought a decent foundation garment. Best decision ever. It made the skirt fit completely different, and I mean for the price of the skirt AHEM FREE, who can resist?

So, I'm having a phase. I think everyone has it. Where you want to change everything about your appearance, and even though you have a closet full of clothing, nothing to wear. I'm slowly going to remedy this. U-swap made me really think about what I actually wanted to wear, and what I could live with out. Plus I acquired new pieces without having to actually fill the black consuming hole that is my closet anymore than it already is.

I won't lie, I feel a bit self-concious about wearing this ever since it shrunk a bit in the wash. I've never been big on the body-con trend. But It's good to get out of your comfort zone every once in awhile. Plus It's nice to get out of the short and tee shirt I've been living in ever since we got the puppy, check out the puppy blog if your intrested at the top of the page.
