Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles / Why I Need to Jog

I feel like all I’ve been doing in Arizona is eating. I swear I’ve gained 5 pounds since I got here. Everyone has been taking me to these amazing restaurants and I always end up stuffing myself. I’ve decided that from this point forward, I simply have to go jogging every morning.

I’ve downloaded runkeeper, which I really like. I received a garmin vivofit for christmas and it’s fantastic; but it doesn’t have a gps function for running. Runkeeper takes care of that problem for me.IMG_5765

Anyways, one of those fantastic dining establishments that I’ve been pigging out at is Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles. Ivan and I went there last week with his two brothers and it was everything they told me it would be. I got one of the chicken & waffle combo’s (because, duh) and a big old mason jar of green apple kool-aid. IMG_5764IMG_5767

Everything was delicious, but I have to admit, I walked away feeling kind of sick. I simply don’t eat like that. There was so much sugar, grease and butter in the food – which are three things I try my best to avoid. I went right home and slept. I’d definitely go back, but only once in a blue moon. 

  • Girl, I’ve been doing the same eating nonstop thing. Actually, as I type this at this exact moment, I’m stuffing my face with Pirate’s Booty. But as you go running every morning you can make yourself feel better as you think about the fact that I’m probably not running. Eeek.

    • I love Pirate’s Booty! It’s so good. Also, I HATE running. I usually go to the gym and do the ARC or the elliptical, but I’m on vacation and running is free.

  • Oh my, do I feel ya on eating too much! I am in NYC right now for the holidays and I literally CANNOT stop eating but I am enjoying every minute of it. I have only tried chicken and waffled once but after looking through this post, I think I need to try it again!

    • I also enjoy the act of eating constantly… but then it’s instant regret. Hence, the running. Oh well. We’re on vacation, right? We’re allowed to stuff our faces. The problem is I’m here for 3 weeks. So that’s 3 WEEKS of eating nonstop.
