Matzo Balls & Football Fun

Matzo Balls & Football Fun

This weekend was one for the books. Friday night Ivan and I joined our friend Jon for Shabbat Dinner at MSU Hillel. I always love going; it’s a lot of fun to see all the customs and traditions… plus the food is always spectacular. They always have Matzo Ball Soup, which is amazing. If you’ve never had it, I highly recommend it.

After that we went to the movies to see Gone Girl. It was definitely… entertaining. Has anyone seen it? I thought the actors all did an amazing job, but I’m still not sure how I felt about it. I called the first big plot twist, but there was so many craziness going on in that movie… I don’t even know what to say.

Then Saturday was game day. ESPN was in town for “College Game Day” but we ended up skipping it. It was freezing and super windy and I really just felt like sleeping in. We did go tailgating and to the game though. It was super packed and the crowd was infectious, but it was also frigid. The game didn’t start until 8. We left at the beginning of the 4th quarter; sometime around 11pm. We’d been outside and in the cold since 3 and I was ready to call it a night. The Spartans lost anyways, so I didn’t feel too bad about missing the final minutes.

The half time show was exceptional. The Ohio State & MSU band both did Veterans Day tributes and the MSU band ended the performance by creating a giant USA flag. It was pretty spectacular.  IMG_5085
