I am incredibly picky about my sports bras. I don’t care about the brands, but I have to feel secure and comfortable in them. I jog, so I am always on the lookout for great bras that keep the girls in place during movement.
I need a bra with adjustable straps because I am pretty short. I always have to adjust the bra to the tightest setting to fit my shoulders. I also prefer a workout bra with underwire. I feel like the ones without either don’t hold me in place or they squeeze me way too tight.
I’ve tried a lot of different brands and stores and I’ve actually found that two specific bras from Walmart fit me the best. Isn’t that funny? Two $11 bras are what I feel the most comfortable in.
The first one is the Danskin-Now Seamless Foam Cup Sports Bra. I’ve actually got this bra in 3 different colors. For a long time, it was the only sports bra I wore. It’s a medium impact bra with underwire, but it’s so comfortable. It doesn’t push my boobs down, but it keeps them secure. It’s fantastic. It can be a bit difficult to take off after a workout though. It’s a pullover bra and it requires some effort to get it past your shoulders when you are all sweaty. It appears to be close to selling out online right now, but they always rollout new colors. Hopefully they’ll be available soon.
The second bra is pretty new to me. I bought it about a month ago and it’s amazing. It looks and feels like a normal bra, but it’s a high impact sports bra. It’s the Danskin-Now Core Strength Push Up Foam Sports Bra. It’s got a traditional clasp back with adjustable straps. It also has underwire, but the whole bra is padded everywhere, so you don’t feel the digging that you sometimes get from regular bras. Plus, because it’s a regular clasp back bra, it doesn’t stick to your skin when you try to take it off after a workout. I could only find the black, but I think I’m going to order the white version from their website. For $11, you just can’t go wrong.
What are your favorite sports bras? What do you look for when you’re buying one?
