Travel Plans I’m Excited For

The #blogtober14 prompt for today is Best/Worst Vacation. I’ve decided to take a slightly different approach to this prompt. I’ve made quite a few vacation plans for the next few months that I’m excited for.

Washington, D.C.

I’ll be traveling to D.C. over the weekend of November 22nd. A friend and I will be flying out to visit one of my oldest and dearest friends. I’ve never been to D.C. and I’m looking forward to the trip. I have a few items on my to-see list, but if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. It’s been a while since I’ve seen these two ladies, so it will be great to have a ladies reunion vacation.

Toronto, ON

My uncle lives in Toronto, yet I’ve never been there. I’m planning on visiting over Thanksgiving weekend; so my November will be quite busy. I’ve heard such wonderful things about this city, I’m really excited for this one. This pinterest board is definitely the busiest.

Phoenix, AZ

This is the first year I’ll be away from my family for christmas. I’m going to AZ to meet my boyfriends family and I’ll be there through the new year. He’s got a list of things for us to do, but being the pinterest freak that I am, I of course have a to-do board for this one too.

Philadelphia, PA

The tentative plan for spring break this year is Philly. Again, this will be a new city for me. There are so many historical things I want to see, and we will be there for almost a week. Lots of time to explore. I’ve got this list started too, but I’m always open to suggestions.

Sidenote… I know it’s horrible, but every time I think “Philadelphia” I hear “flip, flip,¬†flipadelphia” in my head. Thanks It’s Always Sunny.

  • I’m in DC and there is a ton to do – if you enjoy BBQ, there’s a GREAT place called DCity you should check out. The museums are obviously good to see, especially if you’ve never been here, but you can also visit the Library of Congress, which is something not a lot of folks know to do. There are tons of beautiful neighborhoods to explore, too.

  • Washington DC is on my must visit list – mainly for all the free museums, me and the husband love museums and history so it’ll be right up our street.

    • I’ve heard such great things about it, I’m sure you’d have fun! I’m excited for the free museums too :)

  • Wow! You are doing a lot of traveling! I would love to go back to Phoenix and D.C. anytime! Phoenix more so in the winter however :)

    • I’ve never been to Phoenix and I’m terrified of burning. I burn so easily, I’m afraid I’m going to turn into a lobster :)

  • Those are some nice plans scheduled ahead! I haven’t been to any of those cities, the one that would most interest me is DC.

  • I have been to all of these places but Toronto and they are amazing! You will have so much fun.
For D.C. be sure to go to the museum of natural history and check out the jewel collection. It is amazing! Makes me wish I was born a princess 100 years ago.

  • I’ve always wanted to go to D.C. I don’t think I would have appreciated the history when I was younger.

  • I’ve been to DC. You’ll have fun there. I’d like to go to all those other places you’ve listed though! I love to travel.
