I recieved my first VoxBox last week and was incredibly excited for the delivery. I pulled up to my house and saw this lovely pink box of goodies on my doorstep :) I received their beauty box – the ModaVoxBox. Here’s what was inside.
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara
I’ve used Rimmel mascara before. I forget the EXACT one I had, but it was just iffy for me. It did wonders for my volume, but it was incredibly wet and clumpy. It took forever to try and it always ended up smearing below my eyes. Which is weird, because I don’t put mascara on my bottom lashes. However, I am always up to trying a new mascara and quickly gave this new one a shot.
You guys, it’s great. I added a before and after shot of my lashes below. I put on one coat and did not curl them. Look at the difference. I have short, straight lashes and this mascara did a great job transforming them. They didn’t get particularly voluminous, but they appear darker and longer. Be warned, I probably had a little bit of my normal mascara on in the before shot – I use a waterproof mascara that is really difficult to take off. But, you can clearly see what the rimmel did when applied.
It’s the weirdest mascara wand I’ve ever seen. When I opened it up, I didn’t know what to think. I was afraid that I’d end up getting it all over me because its so big and clunky. But it was incredibly easy to apply and it went on evenly.
I’ll use this mascara again. I’m not crazy about the packaging, the snake print is a little cheesy for me… but that’s fine. I don’t know if I’ll use it everyday – I prefer a waterproof formula, but it’s definitely a great mascara.
Resource Natural Spring Water
I’ll be honest, I don’t really buy bottled water. I don’t like plastic bottles and I have a Brita pitcher at home that I use. I have something against buying water. That being said, this water was really good. I took it with me during a workout and I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth it was. I really don’t know how to describe water, but it didn’t taste like plain water. I’m guessing that’s because the electrolytes, but who knows. It was good though. Plus it’s environmentally friendly. If I have to purchase a water for some reason, it would be this one.
JERGENS Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturizer
I’m a jergens girl through and through. I use the this every single day and I have for years. I’m guessing this is just a repackaging of some sort, but it’s still fantastic nonetheless. This is the only lotion I buy.
Hair Food Moisture Hair Mask
I think this is new product… at least I’ve never heard of it. I have really dry, brittle hair from using heat on my hair everyday. I constantly struggle with ways to add moisture to my hair without weighing it down, because my hair is also really fine and thin. This does this trick. I used it right in the shower after washing my hair and after I was finished drying it, my hair came out much softer than normal. I did not use a heat protectant or anything and my hair was still soft. I’ll definitely be purchasing this one again.
Puffs has always been my go to brand. Whenever I’m sick, I always get the ones that have lotion in them. These are just their basic tissues, but I like them. I probably wouldn’t get them if I was sick; I’d still stick to the ones that have lotion. They are just so much better on raw noses. However, this is a great basic tissue. They are pretty soft and strong. The packaging is great for travel; no more crushed boxes from moving them around.
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lip Liner
I used this lip liner on Halloween. I was rocking a bright red lipstick that I really didn’t want to run or smear. And you know what? This did the trick. Easy application, no smearing or smudging and the liner was clear. Works for me.
Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in 260 Berry Rose
Well, this isn’t my color. The shade looks terrible on me. I’m a big fan of Rimmel lipsticks, I have just about every shade in the Kate Moss line. The formula is very soft and creamy and goes on smoothly. I can’t tell you if it stays on all day, because I didn’t wear it all day. I would try it again, but in a different shade.
Swiss Miss Simply Cocoa
I’ve been buying swiss miss cocoa for years. I usually get the Swiss Miss Diet, that’s what my mom always bought us growing up. I made this with vanilla almond milk and it was great. Very smooth and chocolatey.
