We started out the weekend right with the best happy hour in DC. When Ivan got of work we headed over to Lost Society for drinks & appetizers. On Friday nights they extend their happy hour until 8 and believe me when I tell you, they’ve got some amazing deals. It’s 1/2 off all “social bites”, 1/2 all drinks & $2 drafts. Ivan and I both went with $2 drafts… he had blue moon while I went with Stella.
Our total bill was $32. That included 6 beers, 2 shots and 2 appetizers. I have a feeling we’ll be going back to Lost Society’s happy hour in the future.
In fact, we had such a great time we’ve made reservations for dinner this Wednesday. The happy hour is on the rooftop bar, but the actual restaurant is on the lower level. I’ll let you guys know how it goes.
Saturday was a relatively lazy day. It was raining all day, so we didn’t particularly feel like going out. I met an old friend for dinner though. She came over to see our apartment and we walked around the block to this amazing little Indian restaurant called Indigo. I’ve walked by it countless times on my way to the train, but I’ve never stopped it. It always has the best smells floating out of the building, so when Lizzy said she wanted to try it, I was all for it.
I went with the Chicken Tikka and she had the Butter Chicken. Both were absolutely divine. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
Then on Sunday we ventured down to the Safeway BBQ Battle. We didn’t stay for very long, but we had a good time. They were giving away a ton of samples and I absolutely stuffed myself. We prompted napped afterwards.
I was also able to squeeze a run in on Sunday morning. I’ve been doing pretty good with my workouts, I got 5/7 days this week. I also hit the 90 mile mark with running. It was pretty exciting.
