This weekend was a tiring one. I ran my first 5k of the year Saturday morning and it sort of kicked my butt. I just started running outside again about 2 weeks ago (the weather here has been super weird) and I’m still adjusting to it. It was fun though. Plus, I always feel great after a tough run. It’s nice to push yourself and see what you can really do.
I spent the rest of Saturday riding around on my new bike. I got it as a birthday present from my parents for DC. Here name is Crosby, isn’t she lovely? I’ve ordered baskets for the front and back – they’ll be here Wednesday.
I also got myself a cup holder. Because it was completely necessary, no doubt. Don’t mind Kidd barking in the background. He gets upset when I take pictures of things other than him.
Don’t worry though. I made it up to him. He does loves to pose.
Later that night, I went over to my grandmas for a family barbecue. I tried out Henry’s Hard Soda for the first time and man, it was good. That could be very dangerous.
My adorable nephew, Miles was also there. So of course, I had to take pictures of him. Unlike Kidd, he finds my constant snapping of photos annoying.
On Sunday my new camera lens was delivered. It’s kind of amazing. The zoom is much better than the lens that came with the camera… which is exactly what I wanted. I’m in love with my camera, but I was getting depressed about the lack of zoom with the included lens. It does look kind of funny though… that big lens on that little camera. It makes me laugh ;)
I spent most of sunday messing around with my camera. Although Ivan and I did binge watch about 5 episodes of West Wing while crushing a pepperoni and jalapeño pizza. That’s what Sunday nights are all about.
